Osteopathic medicine as practised at The Osteopath integrates the latest scientific knowledge and evidence with osteopathic principles of considering the whole person, body, mind and spirit, not just treating symptoms.

All our osteopaths are registered with the Queensland Osteopaths Registration Board and are members of the Australian Osteopathic Association and only practice osteopathy. All osteopathic treatment techniques are utilised, from soft tissue work to mobilisation and osteopathy in the cranial field.

Good healthcare is now recognised as relieving symptoms and restoring function; often health care only concentrates on the relief of symptoms and ignores function (or assumes that function will improve automatically once symptoms are relieved). This is not the case and is only half the job.

Here at The Osteopath we adhere to the scientific evidence and strive for the best practice of dealing with both symptoms and function. To this end we have a private rehabilitation and exercise facility at our Maroochydore rooms to complement the treatment and advice from our osteopaths.
